Godhead On May 20, 325 AD the world was forever changed. Emperor Constantine called a meeting of the 318 Bishops at Nicea and on that day they instituted one of the greatest flaws of American religion today. This is the doctrine of the Trinity, suggesting the view of the Oneness doctrine, believing on one God and His name being Jesus, is no longer correct. The Trinity doctrine cannot be proven by simply reading the scriptures; it has to be described and explained in detail, before you can begin to see the Trinitarian view. The Trinity doctrine is a doctrine of inference, not a doctrine of fact. If you ever listen or take part in a Oneness verses Trinity debate you will find that as long as they are quoting scriptures the Trinity looses ground. Hence, the doctrine of the Trinity must be â€Å"injected† into the scriptures to prove itself. One man once said â€Å"The Trinity has to be piped into Scripture before it can be piped out.† The best example is: everyone knows you can’t get milk from cotton. But, if you take the cotton and soak it in milk first then you can squeeze the milk from the cotton. In the same sense the Trinity doctrine is like this. Before you can begin to see the Trinity doctrine, someone has to tell you about it and then go to scripture to prove it as fact. By just reading the scriptures first, no one will ever find the Trinity represented, for the scriptures prove the Oneness of Jesus Christ all through the Bible. I do not understand how the doctrine of the Trinity can get around the unity of the Old Testament and New Testament stating the One God facts. Deuteronomy 6:4(NKJV) states: â€Å"Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:†. That sums up the doctrine of the Oneness. But, one instance will not satisfy. Here are just a few of the misconceptions of the Trinity Doctrine that cause it to be in fault: First: â€Å"Elohim† â€Å"Elohim†, meaning "God", is sometimes confused to show the plurality of the Godhead, this is not a correct interpretation. In the Hebrew words are plural in construction but singular in the way that they are used. Also the Hebrew often used plural forms to show majesty or greatness of one person or deity. Even though these are plural words, to say they represent a multiplicity in the Godhead would be wrong.

Abortion favoring Pro Choice Essay

Abortion is one of the most controversial and hot issues debated, and is an issue that  will never be agreed upon, just going round and round in circles. By bringing morals, which are derived from personal conscience, into the question of whether the government should abortions, this matter has been promoted to a higher level of argument. It is no longer viewed as a decision made from choice but as a question of principals, and these concepts have led to a full-blown argument concerning matters that really should not be questioned. Every woman in the world should have the right to decide how to carry their beings. No government should feel that they have the right to dictate to a person what road their lives should take. Those claiming â€Å"pro-life† are really no more than â€Å"anti-choice†. These pro-lifers crave to put the future of women into the hands of the government. Abortion, and any medical decisions women make, are very private and should never be available for debate. The question of morality can’t be a valid argument concerning abortion, because it is not of morality but of option and constitutionality. Right here, guarantees all women the right to abort a pregnancy. Pro-choice people plea that abortion is the murder of a child, but most do not consider the fetus a child. A common assumption is that people who are pro-choice are actually pro-abortion. Many people that support women’s rights could be personally against abortions. That does not mean that they allow the government to pass laws directing what women do with their bodies. Those who are pro-choice simply believe that it is the right of a woman to assess her situation and decide if a baby will benefit or be devastating to her live. People that are opposed to abortion don’t take a many things into consideration. For one, consider how the life of a teenager may be ruined if an abortion is not available. Another thing not assessed is the severe  family trauma that will result if a baby is forced, by law to be born. Those opposing abortion are unwavering with their ideas and believe that they have a solution to every situation. Pregnant? Try adoption! They will help you support the baby. What ever the women’s situation may be, the conservative will not bend. Many suggest adoption as a practical alternative to abortion. But, in reality, this is not a decent substitute. The majority of middle class white couples that are willing to adopt do not want to adopt the mixed race babies (which are the majority put up for adoption). Why else would there be a waiting list for couples to be held in for a few years when there are so many other kinds of babies out there? Would those to claim to have a heart and save a life like these unwanted children grow up as wards of the state, living a life of distress and misfortune? To all of those fighting for laws that will make abortion against the law: do you really think that the law will stop a woman from carrying out with the abort of an unwelcome pregnancy? Drugs are illegal and there plenty of people out there still using. The only thing a law against abortions will achieve will be forcing pregnant women to seek medical attention in unsafe situations, leaving them with not only in the termination of the pregnancy, but perhaps their own lives as well. For a prime example when abortion was prohibited in the 1940’s, there were still cases of women seeking help elsewhere. The only alteration though, is that these women typically ended up dead because of hemorrhaging or infection. Bottom line, if a woman wants an abortion, illegal or legal, nothing will get in her way. Why would pro life people, who allegedly put so much significance in life, want to jeopardize the live of another person? Don’t get me wrong, if legal abortion is banned, some abortions may be prevented. A woman may not be able to fund an alley-way, black market abortion and would have to deliver. This will be quite unfortunate. Naturally, Mother would be depressed, and in all actuality not deliver the proper care, may drink, do drugs, or any other thing she could do to harm the life of the baby and herself. Post delivery, the mother could very well resent the baby, realizing that it has trashed her chance of ever carrying out her objectives in life. If these women mandated into maternity do happen to keep their child, there is a significant chance of child abuse and neglect. These surplus kids, raised by the state or disregarding parents, would then  give birth to yet the next generation of unwanted children. Moreover, in some desperate and impulsive situations, new mothers may become inconsolable, having the idea that since they could not have an abortion they will kill their baby right after birth, thinking they would get away with it and continue on with there lives before the whole wrenched scene. After all of these scenarios are considered fairly by an open-minded person, abortion is the better of them. Many of those who are pro life argue that any of these situations are preferable to abortion. They ultimate goal, they think, is to have the child be alive. They claim that it is unfair and unjust for anyone to take that choice of life away from the fetus. Essentially, what they really want is to take the choice away from the mother and give it to the unborn child, giving them this wonderful prospect to be brought into a loveless, forlorn, and cold society.

It is even seen as normal that young girls enter into domestic work, as it is useful preparation for their later life when they will look after their own home. With suitable working conditions, usually seen as better than their current living situations at home, and better opportunities, especially for education, the girls enter into domestic work with high hopes. However, this is often not the case and child domestic workers are instead subject to exceptionally long days, unsatisfactory living conditions, a lack of education (even if they were previously promised it) and sexual and physical abuse. In the Philippines, domestic work can even be a lure to entice these girls across borders and into worse forms of labour, such as prostitution. In 2012, the ILO produced Global Estimates on Forced Labour. Attention Deficit Disorder, widely known as ADD, i Essay ADDs a brain disorder which many people suffer from daily. The symptoms described by three authors all go hand in hand, but ADD varies greatly from person to person and some may have completely different symptoms than others. The diagnosis of ADD varies in each author with their own technique. ADD treatment is a long debated and very rough subject, as the authors have different views. The authors express their outlook on the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment.There are eight common symptoms of ADD. The carriers of ADD mostly have varying symptoms thus causing need for a different diagnosis and treatments. The best known symptom of ADD is inattention or distractibility. This symptom results in the sufferer being unable to sustain attention on a task or activity. This can greatly affect a childs education while in class and trying to pay attention to a boring teacher. The second symptom is impulsivity, meaning acting out before thinking. An example of an impulsive ADD action is a child jumping in a swimming pool forgetting that he did not know how to swim. The third symptom is impatience. The word speaks for its self; the patient will desire something and strive to get it no matter what. The fourth symptom is hyperactivity. This is more prominent in males and causes kids to go off the walls. The next symptom is emotional over arousal. The result of this symptom is extreme happiness on the positive side, and extreme anger on the negative side. The sixth symptom is noncompliance. This is one of the worst symptoms because it can cause a sufferer to not follow rules, and lead to aggressive behavior including arguing and yelling. The seventh symptom is social problems. The patient may have a difficult time getting along with others possibly because of being too intense, bossy, aggressive, and competitive. The final symptom of ADD is disorganization. Disorganization causes one to be forgetful, lose track of time, and lose things. These symptoms can all be caused by ADD but do not all have to be present in order to have ADD. The diagnosis of ADD is done differently from doctor to doctor. Thomas A. Phlenan, Ph.D, diagnoses ADD in an 8 step program. The first step is a parent interview used to discover present problems, developmental history, and family history. The next step is the child interview. Third, behavior rating scales are done describing home and school functioning. Fourth, data from school, such as grades, achievement test scores, and current placement are all noted. Fifth, psychological testing for IQ and learning disabilities are sometimes done. Finally, a recent physical exam is used. (Phelan, 1993, p63) Daniel G. Amen, M.D. has a different approach at diagnosing ADD. Amen uses an imaging technique called SPECT to measure brain blood-flow and activity patterns in the brain. He has found that the ADD brain is different, and depending on his findings, he can give appropriate treatments for ADD patients that were not helped by former treatments. (Amen, 2001, p72) Dale R. Jordan, author of Attention Deficit Syndrome, diagnoses simply by the symptoms after close evaluation of the patient in and out of the office (Jordan, 1988). The three doctors all vary slightly in their diagnosing of ADD. Like diagnoses, treatment for ADD varies from author to author as well. Phelan believes unless there are contraindications for using stimulants, they should be tried for all ADD patients. The medication he has used is Ritalin, Dexedrine, Cylert, Tofranil, Norpramin, Clonidine, Tegretol, Lithium, and Mellaril. Ritalin, Dexedrine, and Cylert are all stimulants used to calm down patients in hopes to be more focused and more organized. Tofranil and Norpramin are antidepressants Phelan uses in most cases where stimulants are not successful, when the parent does not want to use stimulants, or when stimulants benefits do not last long and need to be prolonged with additional medication.
